How To Notify The School For An Absence
Policy 5200: Student Attendance

All students are to attend school on a regular basis.  If your child will be absent or arriving tardy, you should report the absence in the Parent Portal.  If you are unable to get into the Parent Portal, you may call the attendance line at 732-650-5290, then press 1 for Attendance.  Clearly state your child's name and homeroom, and the reason for being absent or tardy.

However, absences and tardies are not excused until a note from the parent, doctor, or medical facility is received.

Students should bring these notes to the main office or they may be emailed to Email Laura Mentuck. 

Tardiness
All students are to arrive at school at the proper time: between 8:05 A.M. and 8:20 A.M.  Students who arrive after 8:25 A.M. will be counted as “tardy.”  Students who arrive to homeroom after 8:25 A.M. will report to the late desk by the main entrance.  

Early Release
When it is necessary for a student to be released prior to the end of the school day, the student should present a note to the office during homeroom.  Emergency release will continue to be handled on an individual basis.  Once the parent arrives at the school, the student will be called to the office for dismissal. 

Delayed Opening
Students are to report to school by 10:00 A.M. in the case of a delayed opening. Homeroom will start at 10:25 AM.  Bus students should be at their stops at least one-half hour before school opening.
